About Mr. Haley

Hello and welcome!

I'm Mr. Haley and I'm honored to serve as the Choir Director for Orion Middle School and Orion High School. I am beginning my 5th year teaching in Orion and have so enjoyed the past 4 years getting to know our fantastic students and watch them grow before my eyes!

Family

I was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri (Go Cardinals!) and have one brother, Chad, one sister-in-law, Christina, and a nephew (only 3 weeks old!) named Micah who all live in Rockford.

St. Ambrose

I moved to the Quad Cities in the Fall of 2012 to attend St. Ambrose University (Go Bees!). I loved my time at Ambrose, singing in 4 of our 5 choral ensembles and studying vocal music. I graduated in May of 2017 with a Bachelor's in Music Education with a Concentration in Vocal Music.

During my time there I also played Men's Volleyball for SAU where we finished 2nd and 3rd in the nation at our division my Junior and Senior years. To say I'm thankful for my 5 years at St. Ambrose would be a huge understatement!

Hobbies

Over the past few years I've continued to play volleyball as well as coach at OHS and Iowa Select Volleyball Club, working with players from 13U to 18U.

I've also sung and performed with choral ensembles in the area including the QC Singers and Vocal Ensemble Quad Cities (VEQC).
