Mrs. Fausett

Greetings---I hope your child’s 7th grade year is fun and productive! We have a lot of material to review, and even more to learn.

I am Mrs. Fausett and this is my 29th year of teaching. I am a graduate of Augustana College and have continued to take classes all these years. I want to help students see the connections between what is happening in their world and what happened in the past. Kids should understand how events happen and their impact, how human intentions matter. This IS History! We will throw Geography in to the mix almost daily! Understanding how geography and history work together is important.

*The units we study this year are: Geography (refresher and year long skills,) , Medieval Europe, Exploration, Colonial America, the U.S. Constitution, and Pre Civil-War.

* Each unit consists of lessons that include: notes, activities, computer work, research/project, primary sources, lecture, and pair/group work (if possible this year).
