We kick off Semester 2 with the following three week units:
We will also include Archery and Golf - Time and weather permitting.
Mile
Sit-and-Reach
Pull-ups
Sit-ups
Shuttle Run
GOAL: Encourage students to develop and implement a training program in order to increase their cardiovascular endurance.
1) After completion of the training plan students will have the skills necessary to run their personal best in a one-mile-run
2) Goal Setting and log workouts in order to track progress.
3) Benchmarks will be met each of the 4 main workouts every other Monday.
We will finish the school year with some of our most popular Lunchtime Sports offerings: Last year we had over 100 students sign up for Pickleball...!
Our softball unit is a student and staff favorite - P.E. classes compete for bragging rights in a month long tourney set in a competitive and spirited atmosphere.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
REMINDER: Lunchtime Sports are a privilege not a right. Students must follow the Behavior and Sportsmanship Guidelines set forth at the beginning of the year and again to start semester two. We want everyone to participate in this amazing program but students not following P.E. class expectatations / rules will not be allowed to sign up.
Staff and Students Tourney with a showdown at the end!
Meet in the MPR everyday at lunch for some fun Staff and Students Ping Pong action.
Always a good time!
Your P.E. Class is your Softball team. Who will come out on top this year?
