Project Mission

Develop an automated tool that helps jobs print right, fast, dry, and flat without the need for manual analysis

Background

Large printing jobs for industrial printing presses requires custom settings to prevent errors in the printing process. Incorrect settings could result errors such as in streaking, wavy paper, flaking, etc. 

Problem

The process for deriving settings for each printing job requires training and expertise to manually analyze PDF's for printing and trial and error processes. This can be both time-consuming and expensive

How?

By automating the analysis of PDF's through OpenCV's image analysis functionalities, we can eliminate the need for manual training with an application that automatically outputs recommended printing settings for printing jobs. 

Innovation

As of now, no other competitors in the industry have tools of similar purposes. Therefore, this project is currently the first of its kind and as such, we are taking a research-like approach to the development of this application.
