The Training of Trainers is for quality improvement specialists (QIS), quality specialists (QS), or coaches that work with early childhood educators.
Currently, it is not a DELC (Department of Early Learning and Care) requirement for QIS, QS, or coaching staff to enroll in the ToT.
• Training of Trainers: 8 hours
• Workshops: 8 hours
• Take-home work: 2 hours (ORO credit is provided for this time)
• Self-Paced Online Course: 30 hours (ORO credit is provided for this time)
• Completing the online course prior to delivering the workshops
• Delivering the workshops within one year.
• A letter of support is required from a supervisor indicating that a trainer currently has the capacity and time to deliver the Roots of Resilience content.
• All modules of the Roots of Resilience online course must be completed before providing the training.
• Completion of online course within 6 months.
• Commitment to delivering the training content within 12 months of completing the online course.
• Collaboration with a Sponsoring Organization, such as a Child Care Resource and Referral (CCRR) program, to workshops.
• Delivering Roots of Resilience workshops with the lowest cost barrier to participants, to increase equity and reduce barriers to access to the workshop.
• The Training of Trainers, workshops, and the online course are provided at no cost to the trainer.
• Materials and supplies needed to deliver the training content to your region will be provided by the trainer’s sponsoring organization. The Roots of Resilience team is
not able to provide materials.
