The student chapter at Oregon State University for the Society of Industrial and Applied Mathematicians (SIAM) was officially established in 2009 in order to provide a forum in which students at OSU can pursue mathematical research focused on applications in science and industry and to provide information on the current job market for mathematicians in industry and facilitate the interaction between students, faculty and SIAM. This webpage is dedicated to sharing online resources for students and providing information concerning upcoming events in the organization.

SIAM is also an international organization of applied mathematicians and researchers. Students can enroll for free as a member and receive access to journals in different research areas, invitations to webinars, community discussions, conferences, etc, etc, and so much more. Note you must be a member of a university chapter first before signing up as a student.
