Simulation of Solitary Waves Breaking over a Shallow Slope in a Wave Tank. CFD data ground-truthed against Ting and Kirby (1994) experimental data, for RANS closure turbulence modeling bechmarking purposes. Wave Solver Winter 25/56
A handy Matlab solver for wave transformation from offshore towards the beach. Solves the dispersion equation and shoaling//refraction equations. Currently set up for a constant slope, but will run with any user-defined slope, and couples well with bathymetry transects from whatever source you want. Handels inputs of wave height, period, and direction, and can easily be modified to fit buoy data. Simple Battjes Jansen breaking parameter implemented.

Small-Scale Wave Flume Profile Evolution Experiments Fall 25
Testing was conducted to determine whether walnuts were a suitable replacement for sand in small-scale wave flume experiments to accelerate sediment transport processes. Walnuts were found to be an incompatible substitute on account of uneven grain and specific gravity distributions.
Additional testing (with sand) took place to determine if random wave conditions affect sandbar profile evolution in a way that is not captured during the Monochromatic wave conditions that are often used during experiments. Overall equilibrium profiles did not change; however spatial distribution of sandbars varied significantly.
