My name is Charlie Thompson, I am a Postdoctoral Researcher with the Deep Decarbonization Initiative (D2i) at UC San Diego. My postdoc is centered around the quasi-experimental expansion of the EV charging network on the UCSD campus.
I am on the job market during the 2025-2026 season.
I received my PhD in applied economics from Oregon State University in 2024. More broadly, my work relates to the fields of environmental economics particularly around climate change. I also focus on economic history, experimental, and behavioral economics.
Prior to my PhD I received a MA from OSU in applied economics. I am originally from New Jersey, and I received my Bachelors in Economics and History from The College of New Jersey.
