It stands for Career Development Event
You get to choose a certain event to participate in and you will be tested on your knowledge of that subject.
Under the specific event you choose, you will be given a scantron.
You will then be taken to different stations at your event and be tested on your knowledge at that station.

Members are introduced to Parliamentary Procedure and effective meetings
Creed Speaking
Members recite the FFA Creed to develop public speaking skills and self-confidence
Employment Skills
Participants are able to develop the skills needed to seek employment in the ag. industry by participating in a job interview
Extemporaneous Public Speaking
Members showcase their ag. knowledge and ability to think and speak while in front of a panel of judges
Parliamentary Procedure
Teams conduct a mock chapter meeting to demonstrate their knowledge of basic parliamentary law and the correct use of parliamentary procedure
Prepared Public Speaking
Members present a speech on an agricultural based topic
Discussion Meet
Members discuss ag. Topics to develop solutions to projects, issues and collaborative efforts
An award application based on your skills, competencies, hours worked, money earned, in your SAE.
