The History of Panther Vision

  Panther Vision has been a part of Oregon High School for many years, but started to take shape as what it is today in 2021. Following the school's reopening after Covid-19, Mr.Rogers was hired as Multimedia and Production Tech Specialist, and as a part of his role, Mr.Rogers took over Panther Vision.

From the 2021 until 2023, Betsabe Ramos and Abigail Wanta were Panther Vision's hosts and student producers. They quickly became well-known and well-loved around the school. So, after their graduation in 2023, students and staff were left wondering how Panther Vision would change in the coming year. 

Their worries were short-lived, as the 2024 Panther Vision crew quickly proved they could be just as great! Many changes were made, such as adding more sports casting, news round-ups, and regular in the field interviews. These changes paid off, and so far in 2024, Panther Vision has won 2nd Place in the Wisconsin Broadcasters Association Student Awards For Excellence. With plans to win more awards this year and in future years, there's no doubt that Panther Vision will continue to improve withe the hard work of their dedicated students.

What is Panther Vision

  Panther Vision is Oregon High School's daily news show, run by students and the Panther Vision advisor, Mr.Rogers. Panther Vision brings students news about events throughout the school, important announcements, and entertainment. 

Our Affiliates

  Panther Vision works alongside Panther Press and Panther Radio to make the Journalism Department at OHS. In collaboration, the 3 clubs teach students about media production, writing in news format, news broadcasting, and much more.

  Mrs.Greiner, the Panther Press advisor, helps students put out an online newspaper- keeping OHS up-to-date with in-depth news stories. Panther Vision members Haylee Vejvoda, Cole Krueger, and Morgan Bohrer also write articles for Panther Press and run the club.

  Mr.Tynan is the Panther Radio advisor, who helps students make radio segments, podcasts, and more. Panther Vision member, Cole Krueger, regularly works on Panther Radio.
