We Deserve Better!
Yamhill County employees are among the lowest-paid county employees compared to similarly populated counties in the state. To make things worse, inflation has skyrocketed, making it almost impossible for many county workers to afford to live in the county that they work for. Many have to commute an hour from home to work because housing costs have become so expensive that they cannot rent or buy a home on their current salaries. Some Yamhill County employees make so little that they qualify for government assistance.
Yamhill County needs to offer fair pay to recruit and retain the best quality employees to ensure safe staffing levels and to continue to deliver excellent public services that help keep this a great place to live.
Send a letter to Yamhill County Commissioners now! Tell them to settle a fair contract with Yamhill County workers!
