Waldron School has open spaces for K-8 students

Would you consider moving in order for your children to experience something different and valuable?

Waldron Island is a place where it is possible for a child to live without spending much time in a car or being routinely exposed to advertising. At Waldron Island School, which is public and therefore free, students learn in a multi-age learning environment with a focus on creativity and hands-on learning. With an exceedingly low student/teacher ratio, individual instruction and teaching to the child’s interests are far more possible. Twice a year the whole school focuses on theater, putting on a play for the community. Instead of sports teams, students have access to natural environments and receive boating instruction. Students can safely bike to school on the dirt roads. Alumni attest to a unique, unforgettable experience, and many have gone on to have notable academic careers. If your family would consider an off-grid adventure to make this possible, contact us so we can host you and your school-aged children for a visit.

Waldron Island School has open spaces for students grades K-8. We are looking for some families with a can-do attitude to join our school. Riches are not a requirement.

If you would like more information or have additional questions about the school or the island community please get in touch.
