Summary: The book is called World War II: A Historical Reader. It has a few different stories from people's personal experiences. The story I read is called "Jews in Hiding" by Rose Silberberg Skier a story about a young girl named Rose who came from a Jewish family. Rose and her family spent their time in Poland trying to hide and stay safe. while their country was being invaded by Nazi Germany. Rose had lost her parents and her little sister and this story captures the horrors and the struggles this young Jewish girl went through to survive the Nazis.
Review: After reviewing this story, I can say that I truly enjoyed this book. It captures the fear and the reality of what happened to the Jewish people in World War II. This story is filled with sadness and horror. It also does a great job of making the reader feel something while reading the story. For example when Rose's little sister is taken and later killed I felt terrible for Rose because the story was able to develop a connection to the reader and the characters.
