Welcome to our Invention Convention Google Site! Here you can find links to all the things you might need - forms, flyers, logs, slideshows, emails, dates, and more!
If you have any questions, please email Rochelle Greenwald (TOSA, STEAM and Career Pathways)
Make sure to put your name, as well your child's name, grade/teacher and school in the email to help me answer any questions.
Interest Form - Please fill this out by October 17. Remember, this just lets us know that you are interested and might participate. Emails will come with more information and updates throughout the Fall and Spring.
The regular slideshow is provided to the right. Or, you can access the slideshow with the recordings by clicking the yellow button above.
To the right is a Spanish version of the slideshow, however the recordings attached are still in English.
A la derecha hay una versión en español de la presentación de diapositivas, pero las grabaciones todavía están en inglés.
November/December - Use this time to do brainstorming and research to decide exactly what invention to work on. Students should be keeping a log of their design steps and ideas. By the end of December (if not before), students should have a clear idea of their invention.
January/February - Continue to work on the project and the prototype. Remember to log everything in your log book!
March/April - Final touches for the prototype and create/finish your trifold.
April 14 - Info meeting for Students and Parents (virtual @ 3:45) - This meeting will go over any questions parents may have about getting projects to SCC or picking them up, where we will be located, parking issues, etc. It's not required but it's recommended go. A link will be provided later (or on here closer to the date).
April 24 - It's the big day! Inventors bring their tri-fold and model to Community Science Night at SCC. More information to come!
