Membership Qualifications:
Any classified or certificated leadership team member in Orange Unified School District (OUSD) is eligible for membership in LT-O!.
Board Meetings:
The Board of Directors meets monthly from September through May.
Additional meetings can be held as requested by the President or a majority of the Board.
Board of Directors Eligibility:
Any member of LT-O! is eligible to hold an elected office on the Board of Directors.
Board of Directors Composition:
The Board consists of:
Executive Officers: President, President-Elect, Secretary, Treasurer, and Parliamentarian (immediate past president).
Six (6) Directors:
One Elementary Administrator
One Secondary Administrator
One District Level Administrator
One Classified Administrator
Two At-Large Members
Nominations and Elections:
Elections:
Elections are by ballot and held by May 30th.
Terms:
Officers serve a two-year term, starting July 1st following the election.
Board of Directors Duties:
President:
Presides over all Board meetings.
Appoints committee chairpersons (with Board approval).
Performs other duties customary to the office.
President-Elect:
Serves as program chairman.
Assumes Presidential duties in the President's absence.
Succeeds to the Presidency if a vacancy occurs.
Secretary:
Keeps accurate minutes of all charter and Board meetings.
Performs other duties pertaining to the office.
Treasurer:
Maintains accurate financial records.
Prepares financial reports for the Board.
Receives and disburses funds (with Board approval).
Submits Treasurer's records for annual audit.
All Executive Officers and Committee Chairpersons aka Members at Large, Secondary Administrators, Elementary Administrators Etc.:
Collaborate to accomplish LT-O! goals and activities.
Terms of Office:
Executive Officers:
Serve a one-year term, eligible for reelection.
Treasurer and Secretary serve a minimum of two years, with a maximum of six consecutive years.
