All About El Modena's Sports Medicine Teacher
Ms. Karinna Gomez
Ms. Gomez graduated from ELMO and took Sports Medicine as a student. She went on to Santiago Canyon, where she continued as an athlete as well as pursuing her major in Kinesiology. Taking courses such as the ones she currently teaches and having that athlete viewpoint really made her aware that this was the scope of work she wanted to pursue. Ms. Gomez transferred to Cal State Fullerton where she graduated with her Bachelors Degree in Kinesiology with concentration in strength and conditioning. She went on to become a fitness coach where she knew her degree could come in handy. Ms. Gomez decided to combine the love she has to educate others and take that step further and teach students about the human body. She is very excited to come full circle as the Sports Medicine teacher at ELMO.
