Digital Audio Production Pathway Description
The Digital Audio pathway program at El Modena High School gives students the opportunity to acquire the technical knowledge and requisite skills needed for successful entry-level employment in media-related occupations and/or advanced post-secondary studies.
This pathway is designed to provide students interested in audio production careers such as audio for video and film, music production, and live sound.
Digital Audio Production Course Descriptions
Intermediate Digital Production
This course is designed to introduce students to the field of music technology and the recording arts. There are two components: the lecture portion covers the terminology, equipment, science, art and history associated with the field of music technology. The lab component exposes students to the basic application of the topics covered in lectures in addition to hands-on equipment training, which includes recorded projects in music production and post-production workflows using industry-standard hardware and software.
Mr. Richard Flores
Mr. Flores has a diverse background in mass media communications, education, and corporate operations. With a bachelor's degree from California State University San Bernardino and a teaching credential through California State University Fullerton, he honed his skills in communication, media production, and content creation. His experience spans various industries, including entertainment, education, and e-commerce. At Disney, Mr. Flores contributed to the theme park division, gaining valuable insights into the entertainment industry. Subsequently, he transitioned to an e-commerce company, where he excelled in marketing, ad creation, and production management. His roles as a videographer, stage manager, and production manager showcased his ability to lead teams and deliver high-quality results. Leveraging his strong organizational and interpersonal skills, Mr. Flores also took on a pivotal role in human resources, specializing in hiring and talent recruitment. This experience equipped him with a deep understanding of talent acquisition and employee development. His big passion is to see students succeed in the classroom but also developing critical life communication skills to be an impactful part of society.
