Digital Audio Production Pathway Description 

The Digital Audio pathway program at El Modena High School gives students the opportunity to acquire the technical knowledge and requisite skills needed for successful entry-level employment in media-related occupations and/or advanced post-secondary studies. 

This pathway is designed to provide students interested in audio production careers such as audio for video and film, music production, and live sound.

Digital Audio Production Course Descriptions 

Foundations of Digital Audio Production 

This course focuses on the use of entry-level software for basic audio engineering. Students will design and complete artistically viable musical files and sound design for film/TV. Through projects and research, students will experience different aspects of the Digital Media Arts Industry. 


Intermediate Digital Production 

This course is designed to introduce students to the field of music technology and the recording arts. There are two components: the lecture portion covers the terminology, equipment, science, art and history associated with the field of music technology. The lab component exposes students to the basic application of the topics covered in lectures in addition to hands-on equipment training, which includes recorded projects in music production and post-production workflows using industry-standard hardware and software.

All About our Digital Audio Production Teacher

Mr. Felipe Cunha 

Felipe has an extensive background working in professional film production and broadcast television as a camera operator, lead editor and post-production supervisor. He began his education and career in São Paulo, Brazil, where he grew up. Felipe speaks Portuguese, English, and conversational Spanish.

Felipe grew up in a family of educators and is very passionate about bringing his experience from the film industry into the classroom.
