1999 Dodge ram cummins restoration
New Cab Being set on to the chassis to get ready for assembly. Using My grandfathers trick to line up the cab and the chassis so it's fast and easy.
A Picture of all the wiring and brake stuff that has to be hooked up. The wiring was some of the hardest part because there is so much that has to be stuffed in such a small space.
Cleaning and needle scaling the rust off the chassis. Getting mud and leafs out of the chassis so it won't rust out.
Lining cab mounts up to the frame mounts with some old tricks from my grandfather.
Chassis sitting on cab for the first time since it was removed off of old chassis. The six bolts that hold the cab down are tight and good to go.
Unhooked And plugged injectors so dirt wouldn't plug them up while I work on the injector pump. The Injector pump is the pump that feeds the motor from the lift pump.
Got Air Horn Off which is the way that the motor gets its air from the radiator which feeds the motor it's air to run.
Got injection pump unhooked and cleaned it up for the new one. So that the truck would run and dirt wouldn't get into the motor
I bought a brand new aluminum 7 foot flat bed from wells river. Because the old steel body had to many holes in it to fix.
Old Injection pump on the left, New injection pump on the right. The old injector pump didn't pump anymore so the truck wasn't getting any fuel to fun.
