The beginning of my product was mostly research as I had to read the cosmetology school textbook before I could physically practice hair lightening. I used the "Salon Fundamentals Cosmetology" textbook I borrowed from my mentor, Courtney Brassard. My physical product consists of mannequins with bleached hair and the use of toner to create the specific level of blonde that I want to achieve.
This process took about an hour and a half to complete. The first picture is her natural hair color, followed by the bleach after application. The third photo is after the bleach was washed out, and the final picture is after it was toned and dried. The entire process was a lot of fun and I appreciate Sarah for letting me use her hair.
My final meeting with Courtney involved the beginning of my product/display. We decided to stick with one mannequin for that day because it took the whole time chunk we had together. We did a light, natural foiliage, which is when you use the technique of balayage with the help of foils.
