Your Final Journal entry is the most important in terms of self-reflection and demonstration of personal growth throughout the Senior Project process.
This is a separate entry; it is NOT part of the other entries required to show proficiency.
It is more like a personal essay, so please include information to address all prompts in bold.
Your Final Journal can be a written document (2-3 pages) OR a well-crafted, edited video recording with visuals, but it must address the criteria below.
a. Begin with a short introduction to what you did.
b. Cite examples of your personal growth and understanding while working on your product:
* What did you learn about yourself?
* After doing this project, how have you grown?
c. Write a self-evaluation of your performance on your product:
* What were high points/ successes?
* What were low points/ challenges?
* What were situations in which you handled yourself well or in which you handled yourself poorly?
d. Describe the relationship with your mentor, staff, or others with whom you worked:
* What support did you find helpful, and why?
e. What did you learn from writing the paper?
* This could include content that you learned (what piece of research did you find most interesting?)
* This could include what you learned from the process of writing the paper.
f. End with a short conclusion. Some questions you could address include:
* If you could go back to the beginning of this project and give yourself advice, what would you say?
* If you could start over, what would you do differently?
* Given more time, what would you add to your project?
