Q: How do I donate?
A: We are accepting donations via our GoFundMe.
Optionally, you can donate via e-transfer (skipping the GoFundMe fees) by contacting maria@orangelilygroup.ca
Q: How will donations be used?
A: All donations will be used to provide gifts to selected residents identified as in need. A small portion will be used for gift wrapping and gofundme fees.
Q: Is there another way I can help without donating money or making a wishlist?
A: Yes, If you would like to help with wrapping and delivering gifts please contact us.
Q: How should I inform the LTC home about sponsoring a senior?
A: Every LTC home is a little different. Try speaking to the home’s administrator, the resident and/or their POA.
Q: How will I receive the gifts?
A: After we receive your resident’s wish lists we will buy them their gifts (based on what the donations allow) and have them sent to the address you provided. The gifts can then be wrapped and delivered to the residents based on the plans you made with your LTC home.
Q: What if I want to spend my own money on my home without donating directly to OLG first?
A: Spending your own money directly (without donating to us first) is okay. We just ask that you track what you have spent so we can keep a tally of the total amount we raised for this event.
Q: What if we have leftover donation money?
A: We have never had any leftover donation funds. All donated money will be spent for the residents this year.
Q: What if we don’t have enough money to buy the gifts on the wishlist?
A: We always evenly divide funds the best we can. This means that some residents may not get everything on their list but everyone will get something. In the past we have found that most residents ask for simple things like puzzles, blankets, and candies.
Q: How should I create the wishlist?
A: Use this template. Have a meeting with the resident or home staff who are familiar with the resident. We want to make your seniors' wishes come true, so don't be afraid to add things they would really like or really need!
Q: Do you have a sample wish list?
A:Yes we do. You can use this template to get started. Make sure not to use residents real names when writing down the list but instead use LTC home initials and an ID number. If relevant, you can include the resident's gender or age.

Q: Who is buying the gifts?
A: Some people in the leadership team will be buying the gifts and sending them to the address you provided.
Q: Who is wrapping and delivering the gifts?
A: If you signed-up your home, you are responsible for wrapping and delivering the gifts.
