The Orange Prep Tech Team is responsible for an array of tasks. One of the main responsibilities is to help manage and maintain all student Chromebooks. Each day, we provide Chromebooks to those students who do not have their device or who show up to school without a sufficient battery charge. While we expect all students to be prepared every day with their Chromebook sufficiently charged, we do know that there are days that they may forget.
After 3 incidents, the parent or guardian will be notified that their child may need some assistance with the Daily Device Expectations.
Student Tech Team members are also responsible for providing teachers with support in the classroom with technological issues, like troubleshooting the Promethean Boards or printers. They will also be creating tutorial videos for useful programs and apps to share with students and staff.

Meet the Tech Team
Hello, I came from Rosa Parks Community School. I find technology very interesting and helpful for my future. I believe that technology can help shape my future. I find Computer Science very interesting, so I think the Tech Team will be a great fit.
Hello, I am Sergius. I’m from Orange, New Jersey and I came from Forest Street Elementary. Although my technological skills are average, I am here to learn and improve. I want to be a software engineer or a cyber security engineer and I believe that this class may help me come nearer to my goals.
I attended Lincoln Avenue School, and I joined the tech team to learn more about technology and to help people. I’ve worked with computers before and this year I hope to help teachers and students grasp a better understanding of their chromebooks.
I am from Park Avenue School. I love to read comic books and write different stories/novels. I joined the tech team to learn more about computers. In the future, many of us will be using computers and I want to get a better understanding about it soon enough. Another reason I joined the tech team is to get more advanced knowledge and be able to help other people who have any computer problems. Computers are getting smarter and more often used around the world, and I am hoping to learn more about the technology inside and out. This way, I am able to help other people in need. I am looking forward to a great work experience being on the tech team.

Helloooo. My name is Layla Beckles, and I am from Lincoln Avenue Elementary School, but I was born in Trinidad and Tobago. I love technology and I have prior experience from Lincoln's very own “Girls Who Code” with Ms. Phipps. I was an original member of “Girls Who Code” where we learned to code and worked on a project to help the environment by reducing plastic use. In this year's tech team, I am looking forward to helping people and working on videos alongside my teammates.
Alicia. B. Gang
Hello, my name is Alicia .B .Gang and I came from Park Avenue Elementary School. So far being on the Tech Team has been a fun way to learn and get involved in different activities. I think that honestly, I would join again if I was in high school because this is not just a regular class that just does coding and stuff. You learn so much about computer and other topics. Also in our day and age, the internet has been used more than the regular pen and paper that i think that and that technology team is something you should get involved in. Trust me . :)
HELLO! I'm from Cleveland St. School and I joined the tech team because I love to fix things. I love to take pictures and I want to learn more things about technology. In my spare time, I like to cook and watch TV.
Hello, I am Danny Perez and I'm from Forest Street School. I enjoy learning about technological things. I would like to learn more about technology since it can be very useful in the future for me. The more I know, the better that I can help others. There are countless things that technology can be used for like creating websites, games, and many more things that can be helpful for others or just for personal use. Although there's not much I know about technology, the reason why I joined the Tech Team is to expand that knowledge to help people with any outcomes that may come their way with their technology issues..
