North Carolina's Career & College Promise (CCP) program provides high school juniors and seniors with the opportunity to take courses, tuition-free, at any NC community college. Students usually take courses at either Durham Tech or Alamance Community College. The process for enrolling in CCP courses is different at each college.
Durham Technical Community College

Alamance Community College

Students need to complete a paper CCP Application and turn it in to your counselor.

There are several pathways for enrolling in community college courses:
College Transfer – College transfer pathways provide tuition-free course credits toward the Associate in Arts or Associate in Science that will transfer seamlessly to any public or participating private college or university.
Technical Careers – Earn tuition-free course credits at an NC Community College toward a job credential, certificate or diploma in a technical career.
Innovative High Schools – Begin earning tuition-free college credits as a high-school student by attending an approved Cooperative Innovative High School.
Middle College High School is the Innovative High School that Orange County Schools students may attend. You can learn more about this program on the MCHS website: http://mchs.dpsnc.net/pages/Middle_College.
While students may take courses at any North Carolina Community College, most Partnership Academy students attend Durham Technical Community College or Alamance Community College.
