I am very excited to be starting my third year as the school counselor at New Hope Elementary this year! Some of you may remember me as Ms. May, but I got married over the Summer and now go by Mrs. Kennedy. I am from Chapel Hill, NC. I attended Rhodes College where I graduated in 2015 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and a minor in Spanish and Education. I then graduated from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro where I obtained my Master of Science and Specialist in Education degree in School Counseling. In my time away from school, I love to swim, watch UNC basketball (go heels!), play with my dog LJ, and practice speaking Spanish!

Estoy muy emocionada ser la consejera escolar en New Hope Elementary este año! Los últimos dos años, mi apellido era May, pero me casé durante el verano y ahora mi apellido es Kennedy. Soy de Chapel Hill, NC. Asistí a Rhodes College donde me gradué en 2015 con una licenciatura en Psicología y un menor en Español y Educación. Después, me gradué de la Universidad de Carolina del Norte a Greensboro donde he obtenido mi maestría en consejería escolar. ¡En mi tiempo fuera de la escuela, me encanta nadar, ver el baloncesto del equipo UNC Chapel Hill, jugar con mi perra, LJ, y practicar mi español!
