Hey Everyone!

My name is Allysha Lilley and I am the Chorus Teacher at Gravelly Hill Middle School! I am SO excited to be here and be a part of an already fantastic program! I graduated from The University of North Carolina at Greensboro with a Bachelor of Music in Music Education degree in December of 2016. I am a lover of all things music and instilling the same passion that I have for music into each of my students lives!

I am originally from Tallahassee, Florida (born & raised) and have lived in NC for about 15 years. I am a DIE-HARD Seminoles fan, and will always be one! GO 'NOLES! I love all things coffee, chocolate, and Star Wars. I'll watch any of those movies any time of day, any day of the week!

I love trying new places and traveling all across the world, although I've never left the country, YET!

I don't have one favorite artist, but I LOVE everything jazzy and funky! I truly enjoy anything by Eric Whitacre as his Choral works are out of this world amazing!

Some of my favorite composers are Berlioz, Wagoner, Debussy, Vivaldi, and Ralph Van Williams. Any movie soundtrack is also acceptable within this soundtrack, but my all-time favorite (so far), is Interstellar! Amazing pieces if you enjoy hearing an organ in a completely different way!

I am a fun-loving person who loves everything life has to offer! I hope that this year will be filled with tons of adventures and exciting new things for both me and for ALL you children!
