black ink pen or fine point marker
couple of dry erase markers
Supply Rationale: In science class we make anchor charts of important ideas, sketch our notes, label drawings from experiments, create foldables to organize notes and so the "must have" supplies are used for the assignments. The "helpful to have" are optional, but will make work easier in groups and neater individually.
I too am a parent and so I tried to make the list as brief as possible.
Weird Class Supplies
Doing labs and hands-on activities in science class is fun, but it can be a challenge to have enough supplies for all classes. While we do have a small science budget - I am only allowed to purchase from certain vendors. I save that money for specialized science items and would appreciate your help with other things that we consume each year that are not available through a science supply store.
If you happen to be at the Dollar store or Walmart and come across any of these items, please send them in - I will hold them until the needed time.
In addition, when we have special days I will send an email request. Thank you in advance!
Cash or WalMart gift cards are also welcomed if you do not have time to shop.
Paper plates
Clear plastic cups
Straws
Pipe cleaners
Paper towels
Brown paper bags
Envelopes
Sandwich size zip top bags
Other helpful supplies for the whole class:
Clorox wipes
Kleenex tissues (we use a box a week during allergy & cold season)
Band-aids
At the end of the school year we are low on earbuds, scissors, pencils, and markers.
