I have been a school counselor at OPS since April of 2017. I am also a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with over 15 years of experience working with children, families, couples and individuals in private practice on issues ranging from depression and anxieties to school refusal and suicide prevention. I earned my school counseling and mental health counseling credentials at Caldwell University and William Paterson University. I also hold the Working With Children and Adolescents credential from Mental Health Academy.
My interest in human behavior began during the summer before 4th grade at a family celebration for Independence Day. My cousin, who was a nurse, helped me overcome my fear of sparklers. The experience was so freeing and impactful, I started learning all I could about human behavior and how to help others in similar ways. Since then, helping others has always been my raison d'être.
When I'm not working at OPS, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, usually just talking over a shared meal. Other interests include reading, hiking, Pilates, sewing, elephants, and volunteering for the neighborhood lake community.
