Hi Everyone, and Welcome to Our Page!

I'm Victoria Mertens, and this is my eighth year teaching kindergarten at OPS, and I couldn’t be more excited to continue this journey!

I am passionate about STEAM education and love incorporating robotics and the Engineering Design Process into my classroom. I believe STEAM can be integrated into every aspect of learning, making it both engaging and meaningful for young minds.

Outside the classroom, I cherish spending time with my family. Whether we’re exploring the outdoors or playing with my daughter’s toys on a rainy day, family time is always special to me.

Each year, I look forward to meeting my new students and learning alongside them. They inspire me just as much as I hope to inspire them!

I'm Frank Langan, I’m so excited to begin my first year teaching kindergarten at OPS! For the past 13 years, I’ve taught Pre-K4 at Saint Joseph School in Oradell, and I’ve spent over 18 years working with young learners. I’m passionate about creating a warm, welcoming classroom where every child feels valued and inspired to learn.

In our classroom, I believe learning should be hands-on, creative, and fun! I enjoy weaving STEM activities, cooperative learning, and lots of opportunities for curiosity and problem-solving into our day. Most importantly, I want every student to feel safe, supported, and excited to come to school each morning.

When I’m not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my family, traveling, and trying out new ways to use technology to make learning even more engaging. At home, my cat Sunny always keeps me on my toes!

I can’t wait to meet all of you and work together to make this school year full of learning, laughter, and wonderful memories.
