I’m so glad you’re here! A little about me: this is my 14th year at Oradell Public School, where I’ve had the privilege of growing alongside our amazing students and staff. I began my journey here as a special education teacher before transitioning to the role of STEAM Coach four years ago, a position that has truly ignited my passion for education.
I hold a Dual Master’s Degree in Education and Special Education from Montclair State University, a Business Computer Programming Certification from the Chubb Institute of Technology, and an Educational Leadership certification from NJEXCEL along with Post Masters course work In ABA from Caldwell University
STEAM is so much more than science, technology, engineering, arts, and math. It’s a transformative approach to learning that empowers students with the tools and mindset needed to navigate the complexities of the modern world. By integrating hands-on learning with critical thinking and creative problem-solving, STEAM provides opportunities for students to explore, experiment, and grow.
At the heart of STEAM education is the Engineering Design Process, which teaches students how to approach challenges systematically. These skills are not only essential in academics but also invaluable in everyday life. I’m deeply committed to fostering curiosity, resilience, and collaboration, knowing that these qualities will guide students throughout their educational journey and beyond.
With my background in computer programming, I am especially passionate about introducing our students to the exciting worlds of coding and robotics, starting as early as kindergarten. Through engaging, hands-on activities, I help students develop problem-solving skills, logical thinking, and creativity. Whether they’re programming simple robots or exploring block-based coding platforms, my goal is to inspire curiosity and confidence in technology, setting the stage for future innovation.
I love what we do in the lab and am thrilled to continue inspiring our learners to think big, explore deeply, and create boldly!
On a personal note, I’m married to Pete, and we have a wonderful family—our daughter and son-in-law, Jessica and Anish, and two amazing grandchildren, Teddy and Mellie, who bring endless joy to our lives. I’m also a big animal lover and currently have a houseful of playful puppies! In my free time, you’ll often find me crafting, creating, or woodworking in my basement—a space I’ve transformed into my personal workshop
