About Me

Hi Everyone, and Welcome to My Page!

I’m so glad you’re here! This is my 15th year at Oradell Public School, and I feel incredibly fortunate to have grown alongside our students and staff. I began my journey at OPS as a special education teacher before becoming the sixth grade Science Teacher and for the past 5 years the STEAM Coach.

I hold a Dual Master’s Degree in Education and Special Education from Montclair State University, a Business Computer Programming Certification from the Chubb Institute of Technology, and Educational Leadership certification through NJEXCEL, along with post-master’s coursework in ABA from Caldwell University.

What STEAM Means to Me

To me, STEAM is about giving students the opportunity to wonder, explore, build, test, and create. The heart of our STEAM Lab is the Engineering Design Process, where students learn that there isn’t always one right answer and that sometimes the best learning happens when an idea doesn’t work the first time!

I love designing hands-on projects that allow students to take an idea from their imagination and turn it into something they can build, test, improve, and share. Through these experiences, students develop creativity, critical thinking, collaboration, perseverance, and problem-solving skills that extend far beyond the STEAM Lab.

My goal is simple: to create a place where students are excited to take risks, curious enough to ask “What if?” and confident enough to try again.

I absolutely love what we do in the STEAM Lab and am thrilled to continue inspiring our learners to think big, explore deeply, and create boldly!

A Little More About Me

When I’m not at school, I love spending time with my husband, Pete, our daughter and son-in-law, Jessica and Anish, and our two amazing grandchildren, Teddy and Mellie. I’m also a huge animal lover and have a houseful of playful puppies!

In my free time, you’ll usually find me crafting, 3D printing, or woodworking in my basement workshop. I guess you could say that creating is a pretty big part of who I am at school and at home!
