Encourage your children to demonstrate skills they are learning in class: Many grades are learning folk dances from around the world that can be done in partners or small groups! They can teach you!
Encourage a Love for Music: Let your child choose the radio station or the playlist when you are driving, or are at home and have music on in the background
Attend local performances: We are so lucky to not only be so close to NYC, we have our own theater right here in town! Look up what is playing at the Bergen County Players, look for music recitals at the Oradell Public Library, as well as surrounding towns.
Third Grade Recorders- Students should practice online at MusicPlayOnline. Information on how to login is provided with their recorder packet. If you have any issues, please email me and I can provide it again.
Explore New Music: Encourage curiosity by checking out various types of music- are you going on a vacation in another state or country? Look up what is popular there and explore their music!
Celebrate Achievements: Acknowledge when your child shares a song or dance with you, or when they spend time practicing at home.
