Education is a big part of my life, both at work and at home. My husband is also an educator, so you could say teaching runs in the family! We have two sons—one in 8th grade and the other in 4th grade. We’re a total soccer family, spending most of our free time on the field year-round. Whether it’s cheering on the kids, coaching, or just enjoying the game, soccer keeps us busy and brings us together.
I’ve been part of the OPS community for 13 years as a special education teacher. Over the years, I have taught various grades in different settings, including resource rooms, co-teaching environments, and in-class support.
My education journey began at Kean University, where I earned my undergraduate degree, and continued at Montclair State University for my master’s and post-master’s programs. I am certified in elementary education, special education, and supervision.
Special education is close to my heart because it allows me to celebrate each student’s unique strengths while helping them overcome challenges. There’s nothing more rewarding than watching a student realize they can tackle something they once thought was too difficult. My focus is on finding what works best for each child and ensuring they feel valued and confident every step of the way. Every student’s journey is unique, and I feel fortunate to be part of it.
