About Me

My name is Jamie Coccia, and I have been teaching at Oradell Public School since September 2022. Prior to joining Oradell, I spent 19 years teaching in New York City, primarily in upper-grade classrooms.This year, I am delighted to be teaching 4th grade Math, Science, and Social Studies, as well as collaborating with Kate Windram.

Throughout my career, I have gained extensive experience in curriculum development, leadership programs, integrating the arts, and implementing technology-driven instruction to meet the diverse learning styles and needs of all students. My goal is to cultivate a dynamic, secure, and stimulating environment where students thrive as mathematicians, scientists, and historians, while forging meaningful connections to their peers.

As a former competitive dancer, I understand the unique challenges students face in balancing academics, athletics, and personal commitments. I am dedicated to supporting my students in developing organizational skills and achieving success both inside and outside the classroom.

I look forward to helping my students build a strong foundation for continued academic and personal growth.
