Tech Checkout

Want to check out a cart?

Please go to the OPHS Tech Checkout Sheet.

OPHS Shared Technology Protocol

Cart Sign Out:

If you would like to check out a cart, you must use the OPHS Tech Checkout Sheet. To do so, please click the link above and sign up.

This is a necessary step so that OPHS can 1) track cart location, 2) track cart usage and issues, and 3) collect data to for additional technology requests.

Cart Etiquette:

Length of Checkout -- The carts are meant for everyone, so please try not to check them out for more than a one week block. At some schools, they have made rules because of this issue, but we’d like to avoid doing that in order to give you all flexibility. That said, if the issue continues to surface, we will have to make rules. So, do your best to make sure others can use the carts, too. If you are checking out a cart more often than is appropriate, consider putting in a request for your own classroom cart -- see below.

Cart Return -- Please make sure the carts are back in place by the end of the day. Some teachers have zero period classes, so getting the cart back before 1st period would inconvenience those teachers.

Cart Maintenance -- Please return the carts in excellent condition, with the machines all plugged in and charging. If something breaks on your watch, you are responsible for putting in a Help Desk ticket and for logging the issue on the Tech Checkout Sheet.

Want your own cart?

Put in a formal request through administration. You will need to fill out the Technology Resources Request Form, outlining your need and planned use, then have it signed by Kevin. He will then submit your request to the Technology Committee for approval. They LOVE to hear that teachers are using technology and need more -- especially when use/need can be proven.

Use the Tech Checkout Sheet as data to prove your need by showing how often you have checked out and used carts.
