About Me

Hello,  My name is Mrs. Paula Foy. I am thrilled to be your child's teacher this year.  I am looking forward to an exciting year of discovery and growth.  

I grew up in the San Fernando Valley. I received my degree in Child Development and my teaching credential at CSUN.  I was introduced to Oak Park while I was in the teaching program.  I fell in love and knew OPUSD  would be my second home.

This year will be my 30th year teaching Kindergarten at Oak Hills.   During my first five years of teaching, I got married and started a family. I was fortunate enough to then work part-time in a job share position in kindergarten for  19 years with  Mrs. Wall as my husband and I raised our two children.   My husband is a firefighter.  Our children attended Oak Park schools.  Our daughter graduated from Oak Park High School  Class of 2020.  Our son graduated in 2023.  When I am not teaching I love to snuggle with our cat Toby, go on walks with our dogs Boston and Cadence, read, do yoga, and Zumba.  I love camping with my family and sunsets at the beach.

I am ready for our adventures together this school year. My goal is to connect with each of my students and their families and make the kindergarten experience special and memorable.
