In section 10.5, students will look at tangents; their relationship with each other (equal measure) and to the radius of a circle (perpendicular).
Then in section 10.6, angle(s) created between two secants, one secant and one tangent, and two tangents is explored. The "circle chart" on the homework landing page may help; notice the angle formed is either "inside" the circle or "outside" the circle. If they intersected on the circle, then the angle would be an "inscribed" angle (sec 10.4).
