Bienvenue dans ma classe de français
I love teaching this program. I am a French native and I have been sharing my first language and culture for more than 20 years. I am a native from France (Bordeaux) and I have lived in the United States since 1986. I obtained a Master degree at the University of Arizona and started teaching in Boston. I moved to California in 2001 and since then I have been sharing my culture and language.
I cannot wait to meeting you in my classroom (H4) as soon as possible. I have been working on fun activities and ways to teach you and share my program all summer.
The French program is based on Discovery French method in French I and 2 and VHL Chemins in French 3. This programs are very interactive, in class, and online for practice activities. I also love to work with projects from food to monuments and history. AP has its own program to prepare for the test.
I am a fan of speaking and using the language in dialogs, videos, podcasts....
French I is the first level and French II, III, French III Honors, IV, and IV AP can be taken the following years. If you are gearing to take AP as a senior you need to have 3 previous years of French so plan carefully your electives.
You already might know but UC schools require at least 2 years of a foreign language to apply but three or four years show dedication in your college application. Our French AP class is a College class and passing the AP French test offers credits in most universities
To pass the French I final
To pass the French II final
