WHAT IS THE OPHS ATHLETIC BOOSTER CLUB (ABC)?
The OPHS Athletic Booster Club is a nonprofit organization that supports the athletics at Oak Park High School.
The Booster Club supports OPHS athletics by fundraising or receiving donations. The funds raised last year from the Eagles Sports Camp, were used to purchase, or support ongoing programs listed below. The $1000 start of season allowance is given every year to each sports team. We hope with the funds raised between donations, running the snack shack during football season, selling reserved seats at Medea Creek’s Culmination/OPHS Graduation, and the Eagles Sports Camp we can continue to give $1000 to each OPHS athletic team.
Annual items OPHS ABC funds:
· Start of season allowance $1000 per team
· Two $1000 Scholarships for Two Graduating Seniors
· HUDL (game Analysis software)
· Health Insurance for the Athletic Trainer
· Sport specific car window decals for all athletes
One-time projects funded in the past few years:
· All new equipment for Gym Workout Room
· Football: Z Leverage Sled
· Boys and Girls Soccer: (Small Practice Goals)
· Gym Scoring table
· Volleyball: Shelves for shed
· Tennis: Two canopy tents
· Cheerleading: Pom poms
· Baseball: Grant for various items
· Softball: Grant for tractor
· Lacrosse Boys and Girls: Practice nets
· Swim: Miscellaneous items.
All proceeds from this summer’s Eagles Sports Camp will be used to support the Athletic program at Oak Park High School.
