EarthEcho International, the global nonprofit founded on the belief that youth have the power to change our planet, has chosen our team as one of the ten middle school teams advancing to the finals of the OurEcho Challenge, a new competition designed to engage young problem solvers in understanding, valuing and protecting the diversity of species essential to life. The competition is made possible through the support of Aramco Americas. EarthEcho International founder Philippe Cousteau, Jr. adds, “Their projects represent the hope and ingenuity of a generation who are working to protect and restore the natural resources we depend on for every aspect of a healthy and sustainable society.”

Bill Beindorf is a student going into 7th grade at Medea Creek Middle School, in Oak Park, CA. He began his work during his Environmental Explorers elective last year, where his teacher, Mrs. Wilsker, invited him to join the OurEcho Challenge. Bill decided to form his team of one after learning about the struggles that pollinators are having. Since that time, Bill has dedicated his efforts to helping to save the local bee populations.
In his free time Bill enjoys reading, swimming, as well as taking walks with his brother and family. He values spending time with his family and will jump on any opportunity to spend quality time with them. Bill also enjoys talking to friends both near and far. During the pandemic, Bill enjoys socially distanced meet ups, baking, learning to cook his first meal, and zoom calls with family friends. Most of all he has enjoyed being close to his family.
