Oak Park Unified School District has partnered with School Device Coverage (SDC) to offer a low cost, one-year insurance policy for damage, loss, or theft of a district managed Chromebook. This applies to any district managed Chromebooks (including borrowed, leased, or purchased). Voluntary participation in this program is $49/year for Chromebook only coverage, and $64/year for Chromebook + Charger+ Stylus coverage, and families sign up directly with School Device Coverage from their website each Fall. Families without Theft/Loss insurance coverage may be liable for up to the full cost of replacement (up to $540) if the device is lost, stolen, or completely destroyed by damage.
