Each student has an avatar they create and are awarded points during class for things like participating in discussions, completing their work during class, etc. We can also take away points when students are disrupting others, or off task. Since there is no grade for AIS, this is an effective way to monitor students from day to day. Students can also earn points for the work they do at home, such as finishing a book and working on IXL.com.
These points can be redeemed for prizes, incentives and can even boost your child's ELA average by two points!
Be sure to respond to the email generated when your child joins a new teacher!
