Reading is good for us. When we read, we strengthen our intellects, increase our vocabularies, develop our imaginations, and broaden our horizons. Stories entertain and engage us, they provide us with a relaxing, quiet space in which to think, and they teach us life lessons. Those who read become good communicators, adept at using language and attuned to the joys and struggles of their fellow humans. For all of these reasons, I encourage you to find books that spark your interest, whether fiction or nonfiction, and read.
