This is an ad placed by a business in a school yearbook that typically promote the business while supporting the school's yearbook production. Businesses can choose different ad sizes. These ads typically include logos, contact information, and messages of congratulations to students. WJH sells theses ads as a way to offset the costs of creating and printing the yearbook.
Woodlawn Junior High Yearbook is pleased to offer commercial businesses the opportunity to advertise in our publication Drumbeat, which should be distributed to over 200 members of the school community in May.
All ads will appear in full color and will be beautifully displayed in the yearbook!
Local Exposure: The yearbooks are distributed within the school community which helps you with local audiences, especially if you are a local business.
Community Support: Purchasing an ad shows that you are invested in supporting our school, which can build goodwill and foster a positive reputation in the community.
Longevity: Unlike other ads that are fleeting, yearbooks are often kept for years, providing long-term visibility for your business.
Targeted Marketing: If your business caters to a demographic within the school community (a student, parents, or staff) a yearbook ad targets that audience directly.
Encourages future customers: Middle school students and their families are future customers, and a yearbook ad introduces the business to them early on.
If you plan to make a purchase for a business ad, but haven't completed the paper copy contract from one of our student yearbook staff members, we offer this digital version. The agreement helps us keep track of each business's purchase. There is a link at the end of the contract that takes you to the website to finalize your purchase and ad design.
Please note:
You do not have to design the ad on the same day you make the purchase. The design can be made at any time before February 1st.
You will need the login information of whomever made the purchase to also login to make the ad design.
All payments are due by January 1, 2025.
If you aren't sure how to design your ad on the website, this video offers a great step-by-step tutorial on how to create your ad through the pictavo website that you purchased it in.
All ads are due February 1, 2025
In order to accept cash or check, it must be sent with a student. Using this payment forfeits your right to create your own ad and will make it necessary for the yearbook staff to create it for you. Attaching a business card or writing down your business's website is very helpful!
If you are writing a check- please make it out to Woodlawn Junior High.
You will also need to complete the paper copy of the Business Ad Sales Agreement (below) and turn this in with the student as well.
