Dear Riser Middle School Stakeholders and Community Members,

I am excited that as I serve my third year as the leader of Riser Middle, we have shown growth at our school and made some tremendous strides. You may recall that last year we set a bold and ambitious goal of Elevating by 8. We worked hard and elevated by 6.5 of the 8 points we needed! We want to thank each of you for your support of our academic focus. With last year now behind us, we want to continue the audacious goal setting and achievement for 25-26.

Our newest campaign is called “Shoot for 3!” Last year we wanted 8 assessment points. This year we want to gain 3 performance points by achieving 3 goals focused on academic achievement. These goals are:

#1 - 30% or more of our scholars gain Mastery on Ela and Math

#2 - 20% or more of our scholars gain Mastery on Science and Social Studies

#3 - 75% of our Priority Learners show growth.

We are continuing to create ways to enhance student success, build confidence, and establish pathways to achievement. There will be no changes in our approach to engagement, assessment, attendance, and our community relationships.
