My favorite part of the trip was getting to spend time with students outside of the classroom. There are so many things I learned about so many kids. Additionally, I truly enjoyed hearing what their trip highlights were.
WE SUCCESSFULLY RODE THE SUBWAY WITH 95 PEOPLE!! MULTIPLE TIMES!!! (It still blows my mind when I think about it.)
Your kids are so resilient. Did we have little blips here and there? Yup. Did we have kids who were sick? Sadly, yes. But everyone bounced back and stayed with the group 100% of the time.
Our parent chaperones were AMAZING!! We had an incredible team of parents helping on this trip and it would not have been the well-oiled machine that it was without them. I can not thank them enough for everything that they did. It truly was the dream team. Thank you so much to Chris Bogzevitz, Dory Rodriguez, Teresa Heit-Murray, Lori Churchouse, Meg Chalmers and Jennifer Mahoney.
We got everywhere on time, every single time. This is because kids showed up to be where they were supposed to be, when they were supposed to be there.
A few stats according to my fitbit: over the course of 5 days we walked a total of 41.3 miles which translates to 103,518 steps. Now you know why your kids are so exhausted.
And now, I will be signing off of all technology for the next four days. Enjoy the rest of your spring break! Thank you everyone for a great trip!
