Fire Prevention Week virtual open house

National Fire Prevention Week October 3rd - 9th 2021

Each year during National Fire Prevention Week we invite our community to a Fire Safety Open House. Because of the pandemic, we've decided to bring the open house to you, virtually!

In this site we've assembled answers to the most common fire safety questions/concerns we see in our community. Take a look around our virtual open house and hopefully learn something to help keep you and your family safe! Don't forget to check out the "Just For Kids" section at the bottom of the page!

Live, Virtual Fire Station tours!

Join us for one of two live, virtual fire station tours. Firefighters will show kids where they live and work when they're on duty. It's a great opportunity to visit us virtually during the pandemic. Kids can even chat questions to the firefighters! Tours will stream live on our City of Overland Park YouTube channel.

Live tour 1: Monday, October 4th 10 a.m. - tour Fire Station #45 with Firefighter/Paramedic Dan Stringfield

Live tour 2: Thursday, October 7th 6 p.m. - tour Fire Station #43 with Lieutenant Tyler Butts
