SCHOOL INFORMATION: The District runs on a 4-day school week. We just finished building a new athletic facility/gym in 2018. Custer is a small rural community that is located about 50 miles east of Billings along I94 on the way to Miles City. Custer is 30 miles north of Hardin. Our current enrollment stands at about 100 students K-12. The staff works closely together with the parents and community to form a family friendly atmosphere. We strive to improve the learning environment for our students.

7-12 CTE AG or Industrial Arts- Huntley Project School District #24

Huntley Project is a Class B school that will run a modified 4-day school week.                                        

 Location (Worden, MT 18 miles east of Billings)                                                                                        

The Huntley Project School District seeks a 1.0 FTE, 7-12 Vo Ag CTE or Industrial Arts teacher. We boast a range of unique resources, including interactive technology, a greenhouse, a PlasmaCam table, a 3D printing system, and welding bays. These resources are not just for show-they are actively used in our college welding dual credit course. Experience in mechanics and industrial arts are positive qualities. The average class workload is 15 students. As a staff member, you would be crucial in the Huntley Project FFA program. You would be a co-advisor for all FFA activities the District is involved in, contributing to the development of our students beyond the classroom. Duties would also include teaching and developing the curriculum outlined by Montana and the Huntley Project School district standards and delivering effective instruction to all students. These expectations do include an extended contract. 

This team member would join our team in a 4-day week position as a pivotal faculty member. The teacher will find excellent technology in every classroom, will participate in Professional Learning Communities (PLCs), and should expect to contribute to a supportive school community. Applicants should be willing to work collaboratively with other school staff members and parents. The applicant should effectively communicate with our District's stakeholders and create a safe, productive classroom environment. 

Huntley Project is a Class B school that will run a modified 4-day school week. We utilize Infinite Campus and Chromebooks to help integrate technology and resources with the classroom setting. 

The Huntley Project School District will be starting base salary would be $37,891.00 starting at a BA4, with an MA1 of $45,658.00 at a BA4. The District does allow experienced staff to bring in 6 years. The max year for steps is lane 6 for new staff with a salary of $49,299.00. The employee would get $780.00 towards the District's offered health, dental, and vision insurance plans.

The District provides $1500.00 as an educational reimbursement plan for continuing education.

Job Requirements: 

This Vo-Ag position will require thorough knowledge and understanding of a variety of areas within the Vo-Ag Curriculum at all levels. This particular position has consisted of Agricultural Education I (year long), Ag Mechanics/Ag Horticulture (semesters), Animal Science/Vet Science (semesters), Food Science/Ag Business (semesters), and a couple periods of middle school Vo-Ag (rotating). Classes had been recently adjusted away from common agricultural classes to what we have currently. This position also includes the advisor position for FFA. FFA has been an extremely strong program within the Shepherd Community for the past couple of decades (eg. state winners and national competitors routinely). The tradition runs long and strong. Expectations run high for this CTE Program and corresponding activity. Being able to get students to analyze and think critically is of the utmost importance within each class. Various grade levels may be taught within each class, depending upon the needs of the students. The expectation is to work collaboratively in a Professional Learning Community with all staff members. Maintain a professional demeanor with all students, staff, parents, and community. Continue to grow professionally. Maintain strong classroom management. Maintain high expectations for all students and self. Participate within the mentoring program that is provided. Prepare students for whatever their next step in life may be. Grass Range School is looking for a VoAg/FFA teacher to join our team for the 2024-2025 school year. Grass Range is in one of the most beautiful areas of Montana. Located in the center of the state, we are 30 miles east of Lewistown and under 100 miles northwest of Billings. Our school has high academic standards as well as an active FFA program, an active 4-H group, and strong sports teams. Turner Public School seeks a 7-12 vocational agriculture educator for the 2023-24 school year. Specifically, we are looking for a highly energetic team player focused on student success and academic achievement of each student. This individual must possess the ability to develop and implement a quality program of study that prepares students for college and career readiness in agriculture and agriculture-related fields. The ideal candidate will have Montana certification and a demonstrated knowledge in the delivery of class/lab instruction, Supervised Ag Education, and FFA to meet the needs of our students. The district will consider candidates with other teaching endorsements, such as Science, Business, and Social Studies, for this position. 

TPS has 52 students in grades K-12, with ten teachers and eight classified staff members. Our district operates on a 4-day week and continuously makes Adequate Yearly Progress. The district offers comprehensive educational offerings and multiple co/extra-curricular activities for all students. We provide small class sizes and dual college credit in conjunction with the Montana University System.

Turner students have thrived with the return of our agricultural-education program and even have several teams qualified for state FFA for the first time in over ten years. Most of our students live on large-scale production farms or ranches, and we have almost no behavioral issues. Our ag-ed program is heavy with welding, construction, ag mechanics, and wood shop, but it also includes an intro to ag and animal science courses.

The district offers housing that is within walking distance of the school. Turner provides teacher housing/utilities for the first contract year at no cost and only $200 monthly for housing/utilities every year after that. Our teaching positions allow us to receive the Quality Educator Loan Assistance of up to $3,000, $4,000 & $5,000 over three years. The district has a strong new teacher mentoring program as well.

Harrison is a small rural school serving the communities of Pony, Norris and Harrison.  Harrison is located west of Bozeman, around 46 miles from the Brick Breeden Fieldhouse on the campus of Montana State University or 20 miles south of the Wheat Montana Bakery outside of Three Forks.  We are 5-15 minutes away from Harrison Lake, multiple trail heads, Lewis & Clark Caverns, Norris Hot Springs, the Madison River, the Jefferson River and Ennis Lake. The Madison River is a popular place to fish and float the river in the summer months. 

The Harrison School District currently has approximately 100  students, K-12 and 30 students in the high school.. In part due to our size, we are a 1:1 school with respect to technology. Harrison is a on-of-a-kind school district in a caring community that is often quick to support the school and our students. 

There is no school housing available but the school will try to assist a successful candidate in finding housing. A number of our staff reside in Whitehall, Three Forks, or Ennis.  We start new teachers or teachers with fewer than 4 years of teaching experience as if they have 4 years of teaching experience, although they are froze there until they have accrued their 4 years of teaching experience.  We allow veteran teachers to bring in up to 5 years of prior certified teaching experience.

Beginning Salary Range: $31,006 - $37,024 DOE; Signing Bonus: $1,200;  Insurance Contribution: $7,860 ($655 per month). The district also provides all staff their daily lunch at on-campus  Big Deal Diner,.

If you or a spouse are open to driving a school bus, we can provide additional opportunities to earn money as a substitute bus driver. We will pay for any costs incurred involved with becoming a certified driver as well.
