Welcome to my Shining Star class! I have been teaching this PK-4 class at ODP for 16 years. In my classroom I encourage independence and self-exploration. There is no need for the expression "I'm bored" if you learn how to occupy your time in different ways.
I moved to this area in 1981 to take a position as Speech/Language Pathologist (SLP) in the Columbia County School system. Prior to my move I was a SLP at Children's Hospital Speech Clinic in Buffalo, NY. After 18 years with Columbia County Schools I opted to be a stay at home mom/Evans High and Evans Middle band booster volunteer and craft store manager/party host. When my younger son was in his senior year at EHS I was offered the position of co-teacher at ODP. Both sons, Matt and Nick, still live and work in the Augusta area.
My husband of 40 years, Rick, has recently semi-retired, having sold his transmission repair business.
Hello Everyone! My name is Cryslyn Roberson! I have a fur baby named Dandy. My hobbies include doing crafts, going to the lake, & spending time with family & friends. I am an outgoing, loving person who has a passion for working with children and helping them learn and grow. Can’t wait to help your little ones grow this school year!
