Prof Jagadeesh Moodera
Senior Research Scientist and Group Leader, Department of Physics, Massachusetts Institute of Technology
Research Interests: Topological Insulators, Superconducting Spin Switching, Magnetotunneling Spectroscopy, Molecular Spin Memory, Magnetic Tunnel Junction, Spin Filtering, and Tuning superconductivity with spin polarized current.
Jagadeesh Moodera received his PhD in Physics from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Madras. He is an adjunct professor at Suffolk University (USA) and a visiting professor at the Technological University of Eindhoven (The Netherlands). He has been involved with students at all levels for the past 25 years at MIT. He serves on various international scientific committees. His awards and honors include: Fellow of the American Physical Society (APS), the 2009 Oliver E. Buckley Condensed Matter Physics Prize from APS, the IBM and TDK Research Awards, The Distinguished Alumnus Award 2009 from IIT, Madras, and the "Coorg Person of the Year, 2009". Prof Moodera's dream project is CREATE Gurukula.
Prof Subbiah Arunachalam

Research Interest: Open Access Movement in India
'Subbiah Arunachalam is a visiting scientist at the DST Centre for Policy Research, IISc. Arunachalam started out as a researcher in chemistry, then became an editor of scientific journals, but eventually turned to his interest in information science. He is known for his work in scientometrics and in the past two decades for his advocacy of open access to knowledge.'
Prof Geetha Berera
Senior Lecturer, Department of Materials Science and Engineering, Massachusetts Institute of Technology
Geetha Berera received her MSc. in Physics from Mysore University, India and a MS and PhD in Physics from Tufts University, USA. She has been an adjunct faculty at Suffolk University for the past 18 years. She was a Science Fellow at the renowned Bunting Institute (now, Radcliffe Institute of Advanced Study, Harvard University) in 1994-95. She has been teaching students at various levels for over 20 years. Dr Berera is also one of the directors of the CREATE Gurukula project.
