One Book One School starts February 11th!

On Tuesday, February 11th we will be kicking off One Book One School!

Over the course of the next month, everyone at Hatch and Mann will be reading the same book! We will have great discussions about friendship and family!

Please come back to this site to find discussion questions and a schedule for reading. I know this is a great book and you'll probably want to rush right through it, but please hold your horses and read along with everyone.

Thank you to the Hatch and Mann Families for helping make this event happen for the students at Hatch and Mann!

About the Book:

The Lemonade War tells the story of an exciting summer spent by a loving but competitive pair of siblings, Evan and Jessie Treski. Fourth-grader Evan Treski is people-smart. He's good at talking with people, even grownups. His younger sister, Jessie, on the other hand, is math-smart, but not especially good with people. So when the siblings' lemonade stand war begins, there really is no telling who will win or even if their fight will ever end.

The Lemonade War is a clever blend of humor, math wizardry, and business know-how. As it captures the one-of-a-kind bond between brother and sister, this poignant novel subtly explores how arguments can escalate beyond anyone’s intent. The narrative follows the arc of Evan's and Jessie's business endeavors, from inception to realization to dissolution, with all the ups and downs along the way.
