Get to Know Mrs. Duran

Hello All!

My name is Mrs. Duran and I will be the new music teacher and choir director at Hatch Elementary this year. This will be my 8th year teaching general music and I am excited to meet you and your students!

For undergraduate studies, I attended Valparaiso University for Music Education. In 2020, I received my Masters of Music Education from DePaul University. I am certified in Orff and Kodaly Level 1 and I am a certified Zumba instructor for Zumba Adult, Zumba Gold and Zumba Kids classes.

I live in Oak Park with my husband and my pomeranian, Cookie. We love to travel and spend time with family!

For 2 years, I have been the church accompanist and music director for First United Methodist Church in Bensenville.
